Always looking for new hot spot to try when I'm in town. I've heard a lot of raving reviews and had to try Pho Mai in Dinkytown, my old stomping ground during my years attending the U. It didn't disappoint and the food is surprisingly Southern California-esque but with great service. Pho Mai will be my go to place when I'm in town and in the mood for Vietnamese food. My palate is spoiled by all the good eats in SoCal so my standard is a little harder to please . BIG BONUS - great customer service & clean bathroom, a rarity in Sunny Cali

I ordered the pho thit and cream cheese wontons and they came out amazingly. We asked for chili oil as well and they brought out the best flavored chili oil we have had at any restaurant. I'd go back here again because the food was of excellent quality. The service was also fantastic and patient while we were trying to find out what to order. I would highly recommend this place to everyone!

LOVELY ATMOSPHERE, CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND FOOD! A friend of mine and myself went to eat there after work and goodness it was so worth it! I definitely recommend going there to hang out, go on a date with someone, etc. ALSO-- these people need a raise!

I absolutely LOVE this place! Their pho is so good. Their egg rolls and spring rolls are delicious. The sauces to go with them are as well. My kids and I all loved their sweet and sour chicken and fried rice. Great customer service and very decent prices. This was the first place I tried pho and have been in love since. I’m excited to visit more and try other dishes.

Looking at the menu, it is just a regular Vietnamese restaurant; pho, noodle salad, fried rice, rice platter. Don’t let this fool you. The food is super good. I have rice platter with grilled pork; the pork is super soft and tasty. The grilled pork and egg roll noodle salad is tasty as well. Didn’t try any of their drinks since we are going for a boba across the street. They just opened another Pho Mai by Asia Mall if that place is closer to you then this one in UofM area.

The pho is soooo good. The broth is so tasty, and yes as other reviews stated it is a bit on the sweet side but it’s amazing. I also got the spring rolls, omg, so good and pretty big. My only critique is that I wish I would’ve got both sauces for the spring rolls, instead I received just the peanut sauce. Also, I ordered the meat lovers pho, but they only put one meatball, and cut it up to make it appear as three meatballs? Little sad about that because those are my favorite. Everything was great though and I’ll definitely be back. I’m a regular at quang, and i think this place beats quang!!

A nice little spot! I ordered mi kho, and the fried chicken was excellent. Flavorful and crunchy! The shrimp wonton was also nice and crisp. My favorite part was the dark meat sauce on the side to drizzle over. It was very rich with umami! There is cilantro in both the noodles and broth, though it isn't listed on the menu, so if you're cursed with the cilantro soap gene like I am, you'll have to request it without. The decor is minimalist modern, but everything's clean and service is very fast. I'll definitely come again sometime.
